New exhausts in Ipswich
Can anyone recommend a decent exhaust shop in Ipswich? My poor little Yaris is starting to make nearly as much noise as the Locost, so it's
obviously blowing through a hole somewhere.
Trouble is, there are good and bad exhaust places, and I've had some problems in the past few years...
(And, before someone says it, I don't feel like doing it myself...)

Hadleigh tyres are very good David and highly recommended.
Theyr actually quite easy to do on a yaris if u did want to do it yourself.

Cheers Dan.
I've bought tyres from them fairly often - never tried them for exhausts.
I think that I'm going to have problems wherever I go - it's a Yaris SR, which has a chromed boy racer rear exhaust box as standard
instead of the usual tin box with a tube sticking out.
I have a horrible feeling that I'm going to get lumbered with the main Toyota dealer...
As for doing it myself - if I had a pit or a car hoist I probably would, but I hate working under cars on ramps.

Eek!
Found out that it was the front section that's gone - the last 6" or so that joins to the back section (typical).
Asked in the local Toyota dealer (just for the hell of it) - they would have to replace the whole of the front section, which includes the cat and a
muffler box. £600 + fittings + labour charges!
Went to Hadleigh tyres - they can get a partial replacement, which involves sawing through the old system between the cat and the muffler. The new
piece just has the muffler and the pipe to the rear box. £88 fitted.
Guess where I'm going...
Mind you, if the pipe to the rear box wasn't so rusty along most of its length I'd have chopped off the last 6" and welded on a new
length of tubing!
