Controling filler dust?....Urgh!!
I have a HUGE area of body to sand down/fill/sand/fill/sand....
Its a complicated shape requiring lots of sanding..
how on earth are you supposed to control the dust...its getting everywhere!!!
Even my dust extractor cant cope...it simply picks up the dust and sprays it back out into the garage
Im wearing a proper vapour respirator, but even so its not pleasant...
Any tips??
(oh, and my arms ache....!!!)

Metabo random orbit sander plugged into decent vacuum (eg Trend T30AF, very little extraneous dust. Festool ROS even better, but pricey

If you find a solution, let me know....
Seriously, you just have to live with it. I keep a air line to hand and blow it away periodically as you sand.

Use a D/A sander with a vacuum cleaner.

A couple of big bowls of water will attract some of it - just don't stand in them!

Use a sander with vented pads (ie with holes in them). Then connect your vaccum to the sander, and away you go. It wont get rid of all the dust, and
you have to stop and check if the pad is clogging, but they do work well.
