Race Car Sponsorship

Just wondering the rough costs for sponsorship. I'd imagine the size of the logo/advert is dependent as is it's position....as is tv coverage etc etc but could someone give me ball park figures for club level sponsorship or any other experience you may have?

This is not for my 7......it's a work thing!

I'd say it's very much dependant on what is being sponsored & where it's likely to be seen - obviously the minute TV time is likely the costs are going to go up substantially.
A lot of club sponsorship is not really sponsorship, the sponsor is the owners business & it's a way of getting tax relief on your racing by making your company pay for it. I would say at club level it's rare for substantial sums to be involved, quite often it's free oil, spark plugs, tyres etc rather than cash.
I have sold advertising on the Furore F1 (for road use) for anything between £100 & £500 for a year, plus the sponsor pays for their own graphics & some of them got TV time for that!!!

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

In the real world, I know of not one single person in the sort of club racing I do who has received any 'cash' sponsorship. There are those that get some consumables, tyres, fuel, oils etc but not much else!

Good luck!

It is more of a promotion / advertising exercise for work so I was thinking parts would be the way forward in order to keep costs down.
Still in research stage at the mo.

Thanks for the input chaps
