OT, HiFi - where to get some Nordost Z plugs?

HiFi related question so stop reading of not interested.

If you are and have reached here, then I am in the need of 8 Nordost Z plugs.

Asked around and since the Nordost UK distributor has goner bust, not so easy to find. I do not think sending cable over to US to have some plugs fitted is sensible.

Also not convince that Z plugs are the nuts but it makes a difference to resale price.

Anyways, if you know who sells and has them in stock, in UK or abroad then lemme know.

And does anyone know how they are fitted? are they just crimped on or is soldering involved - the plugs are covered in heatshrink so not easy to tell although I'll take a closer look.

I am of the belier that this specific plug business is a load of BS so very likley use some other brand of plugs.

CPC = cheap version of farnell (electronics supplier).

Look at:

http://cpc.farnell.com/

I guess you will want something like:
and

http://cpc.farnell.com/CN00605/cable-wire-connec tors/product.us0?sku=unbranded-spc-425-b-12-1330

Or

http://cpc.farnell.com/CN00621/cable-wire-connecto rs/product.us0?sku=unbranded-bp-100g-34-3460

These look a bit like your Z plugs if you don't use the plastic bit but only solder and heat shrink sleeving (in fact I think this is what they are?):

http://cpc.farnell.com/CN03001/cable-wire-connector s/product.us0?sku=mc-multi-contact-20488-4

Personaly I think they are pants connectors (they are pressed out rather than machined from a solid, and are hence rather thin)..

I use:

http://cpc.farnell.com/CN01959/cable-wire-connectors/pro duct.us0?sku=unbranded-bp-30g-rt

Any way your millage may vary.. Just my ideas!

Cheers

Dan
