whos up to speed on modern phones

Hi, im looking at getting a new contract phone. My main criteria is price but all the ones i want are expensive, so i want to get the best one for the money too.
Criteria
-reasonable camera
-wi-fi (unless i can find good phone with free wap access in the contract)
-good for internet browsing, ebay, facebook, locostbuilders? youtube etc
-poss sat nav unless ive misunderstood and its not free
-makes phone calls
-no more than 18mths, and £35 absolute max
-windows or symbian? opinions?
-only want cashback if its a good company
-200 mins 300txts but its really the handset advice im after

The ones im considering so far are
HTC touch (not HD)-windows, 2mp camera, not much internal memory (does that mean its slow?) £26 for 12m

Nokia N958gb-symbian, not sure about sat nav, good camera, not sure about touch screen for browsing £27.50 18m

Samsung omnia i900 everything i want i think, but worth paying £33 x18m?

LG KC910 Renoir- dont think it has windows, but everything else seems to be good spec, and £32x 12m, are LGsbetter than they used to be?

Sony ericson w960i cant seem to find it for sale with any of the popular companys, is it old?

Any other suggestions?
Is windows really worth it or is there still problems with it still being fairly new?
Would really appreciate your comments, as im wasting precious building time now doing my research. Thanks

I have the HTC touch diamond which is slim and stylish.

Ok for internet etc, camera reasonable but no flash, Phone can be a pain to use it's too easy to disconnect the call instead of answering it.

I can drive a PC using windows remote desktop with it which is cool and the wireless is easy.

It also has some nice features an bit like an iphone but not as good

Hope that helps

Cheers

Mark

Plus my mate has one and the camera is very good on it.
Lad who works for me has a G1 and thinks its great but recently saw an iPhone and thinks he has bought the wrong handset.

Think he liked the interface and touch screen rather than the lack of video.

I like the Nokia.

HPC has a bad reputation. I have a Blackberry, and can't understand how to use it. Can't even import my contact list from Outlook Express. Way to complicated for me, but I'm stuck with it for 3 years.

I've got the HTC S740 on T-m obile, bought from Expansys. Keyboard, wifi, gps, camera and hi speed data. I think it's excellent. No touch screen though. (Personally I hate touch screen phones cos if you leave them in your pocket accidentally on it's impossible to surrepticiously reject a call without taking it out!)

I work in this indistry, i use a blackerry, 6220classic.

The satnavs use gprs which isnt free unless you a gprs package for emails ( eg most blackberry have this free)

Camera phone can only send pic msg at 1.3mg, so unless your going to print your photo or host them or email them, a 2m is fine, but the 5m on the 'N' series phones do take really good shots. Sony take a good pic and have auto focus. Both have flashes

HTC, i have complaints all day long, gave mine back after 24 hours,

Not tried the google phone yet so cant comment.

My 6220 classis has a 5m camera, free sat nav that only uses the gprs for POI so just driving about is free, but no where near as good as tomtom etc. Camera is 5m, flash, auto focus, big ish buttons for sausage fingers, all your usal toys apart form a stopwatch

Blackberry, i love it, does everything it says on the tin ( small buttons though )

i didnt like my nokia n95. Too fragile, the volume button fell off after about 8 months so ive had to have it on loudspeaker ever since. It has admittedly *just* survived 20 months on sites, but im definately getting a simple phone next.

Thanks for all the replies chaps, ive finally got my order placed today after looking at everything suggested, ive gone with samsung i900 which phones 4 u are doing a web only offer for £23 a month which i think will be a bargain. The bloke in the shop stil insisted that sat nav would cost me every time i use it, but surely gps is free isnt it, and once tom tom is installed, what can cost after that? Stand alone sat navs dont need the internet. Can anyone confirm please?
