Bosch Hall effect (and VR) sensor info
Anybody know where I can find out the operating voltages and pinouts for the following Bosch sensors:
Hall effect: 0 232 103 033
VR: 0 281 002 145 3(6)5 515 (the 6 in bkts could be an 8)
I have the basic bosch sensors PDF downloaded from their site, and this does not list either of these sensors.
For the VR its no big deal, they list a very similar one and the worst will be I get the signal and ground the wrong way round, BUT: .... the hall
effect one is trickier, since they do 5 volt ones and 12/24 volt ones! Thye list one with the same part number as mine except with 022 at the end not
033, and that is a 12/24v one, but I don't want to assume that and pop the sensors!
They are the cam sensors on my aprilia engines by the way.

http://www.ignitionleads.co.uk/detailspage.aspx?searchStr=PDTS0344
suggests the hall effect is quite commonly used.
I would have thought a look through the Haynes manual for one of the cars which use it would give the answer.....
I suspect there's a pdf somewhere out there on the 'net.

0 281 002 145 3(6)5 515
is too long for a Bosch code.
If you look up
0 281 002 145 you'll find a few options.
Including
http://www.webdealauto.com/-alpeur-de-regime--gestion-moteur/c2159/p243094/-alpeur-de-regime--gestion-moteur--------------------/product_info.html
/>
which suggests they're fitted to Rover 800s...

It looks like the hall effect sensor is used in Volvos and I've got a wiring diagram for Volvo S80 diesels (which use this part). It'll
show the pin-out (if you can be bothered to search through all the drawings to identify the component to refer to the wiring diagram). Won't
tell you whether it's 5v or 12v though....
If you want it let me know and I'll plop it on an anonymous FTP site for you to upload....
