Jesus. Little extreme, while I think this is terrible you can't blame everything on the parents.

Good grief he 'looks' about 10

The shy lad, whose voice has not yet broken, said: “I thought it would be good to have a baby.
“I didn’t think about how we would afford it. I don’t really get pocket money. My dad sometimes gives me £10.”
what a mess, poor baby being born into this
Boys parents should be made to bring the baby up. Totally blame the parents TBH, who else is responsible for their kids?
23! I’d nearly worn mine off by then

Perhaps a little... but his parents should have the ultimate responsibility for his actions until he becomes old enough to make them for
himself....
That and the fact that my taxes(and yours) will have to be spent looking after him and his child.... Its disgusting...
Sorry if im bring synical, but it just makes me angry (can you tell?)

Christ!! He doesnt even look old enough to "have it in him" to do the deed!! The parents of both of them definately have a lot to answer
to for letting it get this far. Its "what they wanted" - well at 13 & 15 they arent old enough to make that decission tbh!!
I think the lad must have been reading this anyway...

THAT IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!
i would be going for the kids, what the f**k is a 15 yr old girl doing sleeping 13 year old, they have sex education by that age! its just a shear
disrespect to their parents, mind you the parents would get the second rollocking! personally i think the baby should be taken into the care of the
social services, mind you with there track record who knows what would happen.
MAN THIS COUNTRY IS SCREWED UP!

although it could be a tad extreme, i kinda agree...the fact that our taxes will no doubt pay for them right through really pisses me off.
it sounds like everyone on the report is going 'aw! how cute! theyve had a baby!' when they should be coming down on them like a tonne of
bricks

I was "uneducated" until i was 19, then married the only girl i've ever slept with! and i'm only 26 now.
there again some do say i'm rather disfigured, and when i smile babies start to cry

I may have read it wrong but it also appears that both familes are on benefits, so the mum is probably correct when she says they will want for
nothing, except moral guidance, good role models, stable homes, good work ethics.
It would be better if the child was takem away and adopted by adults who could give all the things thay cannot give.

Perhaps because you were not 'lucky' enough to associate with what is (if I used that kind of word, which I don't) a 15 year old
slag.

Poor, silly things!
Oh, well few more fucked up lives then!
Interesting when you look at the article (and it *is* the Sun so take all with a pinch) that they both come from not brilliant sounding (in my
limited, snobbish, opinion) homes.
Firstly, it must, must it not show the failure of sex ed' within schools? Largely, I imagine, because of groups such as the religious right who
do their damndest to stop children from having any sex 'ed whatsoever.
Secondly, obviously a massive failure on the part of the parents. Although, notice that the kids did know it'd produce a baby.
What should be noted is that in the UK we have the highest teenage pregnancy rate in the UK...
In Holland, I believe the age of consent is 12/13 (similar in Spain). But they both have much lower pregnancy than us!
Age of consent at 16 is obviously an abitrary figure, if it was 12 like Holland then we might not be so shocked.
Biologically speaking, of course, the fact that they're capable of producing kids means they were 'ready'.
Interesting case really. Pity they're probably ruined their lives.
Cheers,
James

Biologically speaking the may have been ready (though I believe I’ve heard the risks are quite great), emotionally and maturity wise they aren’t even
close.
I’m a firm believer that the age of consent should be raised to over 21 (god if you can’t be responsible to drink alcohol responsibly, why should by
be considered old enough to bring up a child?!) yeah the alcohol age should also be 21 imo too.
Its very clear when you read some of the other articles in the web about this case that they regarded this baby as a game

I suspect that her father is the father and the baby face has been duped into being the father. There seems a bit of a miss match between them.
I hadn't even introduced Pam to my wee man at that age!

This has been happening since time immemorial... kids gambling with the potential consequences because they're horny and have the
opportunity.
No amount of Sex-Ed will ever change it... !
The only thing that can be controlled is the 'opportunity' aspect.

I' m not suggesting what they did was right but I can't help wondering how many of us would have liked to get laid at his age? If she
hadn't got pregnant would there be all this fuss.
