South Brum to Peak district outing on Saturday, i need a seat!

HI guys

those of you who attended the south brum meet last month will know that colin was organising a trip up to the peak district this weekend. i has planned to go in my car but i have deemed it too unreliable to go in it, the mapping isn't right at the moment, its constantly over heating and the inlet gasket keeps ripping so im in need of a seat,

do any of you have a passenger seat going spare that i can ride shot gun in, im happy to pay towards fuel and buy the driver a beer or two when we stop for lunch,

let me know guys

Alex

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Shame! It would be nice to see another VortX on the road. Even an Orange one! Do you have breakdown cover? That'll cover most things that a bag of tools won't fix. You could just meet us for part of the run if you didn't want to push it.

I'll wait until I investigate the ticking noise a bit more tomorrow afternoon before committing but I have a spare seat. I just don't want to break down with a passenger. You'd have to find your way to the west side of Birmingham. Email Dave to see if he's got a spare seat. He lives closer to your part of the world. I think he might still be away until tomorrow but it could be worth dropping him a line.

Metcheck are forecasting 0.1mm of rain on Saturday. That's what they say if they're not sure if there'll be a few spots of rain or nothing at all.

I've asked a biker friend and a few people on here and my ticking noise is likely to be the cam chain adjuster starting to wear. No problem for driving at the weekend. I'll do a quick check this afternoon and then I should be good to go. In which case, you're welcome to join us.
