OT - Oil Seal 52mm ID 115mm OD

Help,

Have a problem I need to resolve urgently, I am trying to find a shaft oil seal with either a 52mm ID or 2" but with an OD of about 115mm.

Thickness is 10mm ish.

Any ideas? I have been trawling the net but with no luck so far.

Many thanks,
Steve

Try an engineering supplie company such as Hayley

http://www.hayley-group.co.uk/

Give your local branch a call, they will be able to source something if its available next day.

RS 50 mm bore, 70 mm OD, 10 mm thick
is closest.

^^^ that is wee poor actually.

if you know EXACTLY the size you are after, then go to http://simplybearings.co.uk/shop/index.php?cPath=19_4463

closest is 52x90x10mm

but since you do not state EXACTLY what size you are after, there may be ones that are a closer match,

i've oredered from them before and they are pretty quick, have no min., order and don't charge and arm+leg for postage.

their search facility is nifty so go and play.

if they don't have it, I doubt you'll find it anywhere else.

oh, another place you could try is yatch and boat places, i.e. seals for propellor shafts?

Thanks for the help guys. I have tried Hayley group and they were similar to RS. I think I'll have to try a smaller OD and sleeve the pocket it fits in to.

Thanks,
Steve
