postage from the USA

how long should i expect to wait if something is posted to me from the USA, its not a large item. its no bigger than a CD case?

i would say about 5-6 days

2 days for their post system to get to the plane (assuming airmail)
2 days for the flight/airports etc
2 days for our post system

assuming all goes smooth... which it probably won't, call it 2 weeks

And hope that they've sent it as a gift, if they signed it as a sale item then you'll have to pay duty on it. It may be at the post office waiting for you to go and pay them, I waited about 2 months for something because the posty forgot to leave a card!
