Can Someone Convert .Zip Files (CAD Content) to Something I Can View?
Evening
I'm trying to download a couple of .Zip files that contain CAD content, but can't open them.
I have a Mac which I'm guessing is confusing the issue further!
Does anyone have the capability to open them if I was to send them through and convert to something I can view... pdf, etc.?
Cheers!

I'm guessing there must be CAD programmes out there for Macs... I'm also guessing they wont be cheap!

PS - It was a shower enclosure drawing.
I broke a small curved bit of glass (the smallest part of the enclosure), but guess what??? Ideal Standard wont sell you an individual piece of glass.
Noooo... you have to buy the entire enclosure at £2500!
The CAD drawings will let a local glass maker manufacture a piece to suit at a fraction of the cost.
Just out of interest - the other shower in our house is a Matki... their customer service is fantastic. I've also managed to break bits of that
shower over the years and they send me out replacement parts FOC!
Shame on you Ideal Standards!
Thanks again to those that helped out and for all the other offers of assistance!

For simple 2D CAD I use QCAD from Ribbonsoft on Linux. They also do windows and MacOS versions.

Try out the trial version to see if you like it. Full version is only 24 euro or 39 euro with a book about how to use it.
Like most CAD packages there is a learning curve, but I've found it pretty easy. At worse you can use it for free as a dxf viewer.
Google sketchup have a MacOS version for 3D stuff.

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
