Where's me Nobel Prize?
I think I've cracked it.
Thousands of years ago Africa wasn't desert it was rainforest. We can put it back that way (somehow, I mean that sand isn't a result of
being dry!)
Consequently there'll be food for those starving people, world hunger sorted.
Billions of tons of CO2 will be removed from the atmosphere, so that's sorted.
Polar ice caps melting? Good that water can go into these previously dry places, and all the water that gets evaporated will turn into clouds above
them and make rain!
All we need to do is get several butt-tons of seeds and the mother of all hosepipes 
Heck if we can convince them to grow every other acre as something we could turn into biodiesel we could get army backing!

i was just reading on wikipedia about human origin in africa. Apparently we're all descended from one woman 160000 years ago, and one man 60000
years ago.
Im struggling to come to terms with the necrophilic implications there...

Isn't that going a little far on the joke "Why do men die younger?"
So yeah basically we "green" africa, thus removing the CO2, food and oil problem in one swoop.
