Facebook marketplace problems
I have recently bought a exhaust for my MK from Facebook marketplace, paid through BACS with the additional agreed postage costs on top,it’s now been 3
weeks with the guy fobbing me off daily with excuses why it’s not been sent, the past few days all my messages & phone calls are now being
ignore.
I have a copy of his driving licence that he sent to me to prove he is ‘legit’ and his phone number so of course, where do I stand trying to get my
money back? Goods I have paid for? Or do I John st send the boys round (presuming the details he has given me is correct)
I am peed off & feel I have been taken for a ride.
I am a driving god!..........sort of

Should have used paypal. BACS is effectively nonrefundable. So yes, only real route is to send boys round as you have nothing other than his
address.

Not used FB Marketplace myself and the tale doesn't encourage me towards it. eBay with PayPal seems to work fine for me.

Reminds me of a few years ago when I paid for a set of coil overs from a member on here but never received them or my money back, just an assortment
of excuses then he stopped answering my calls.
Phoned the local ramblers club today, but the bloke who answered just
went on and on.

No different to any other market place, gumtree, free ads etc.
