Squirrels
Having problems with a squirrel getting into my loft, I've tried blocking all the areas where it could be getting in but it still manages to
gain access. Apart from shooting it are there any other ways to kill the little sod? Does Rat poison work?
Cheers

dont poison it , it will die somewhere you cant get at it and stink your house out.
A reletive of mine had the same problem and used a commercial trap. I think it was designed for some other critter but did th job.and then put the
whole lot in a bucket of water and drowned the little bar stewards.

Red or Grey Squirell ?
makes a difference whether you shoot it of let it live. Red ones are declining. Greys are taking over the areas used by reds.
1. The point of a journey is not to arrive.
2. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

It's a Grey one (vermin) I wouldn't think of kiling a red (indiginous) and would definately use a trap, however I do have a trusty air
pistol that might get dusting off!

Get hold of a mk4 fenn trap, about £5 , kills em quick, works 24/7 for you, so long as you check it at least once a day (legal requirement!)
they are small and work a treat
works on rats too!! - just mind your fingers when you set it and use the safety catch! - its quick and clean.

A mate had the same problem, chewed thru his wiring without electrocuting itself!
Phone the council they gave him a trap/cage, caught the devil the next day. Council took away trap + squirrel - no cost.

PS I believe they release them again ( near Bolton)
