Something a little different
Here is a project that a mate of mine is doing, he already has a locost for sunny weekends but wanted something for every day practicle use.
It started out as an old Dutton Sierra 4 seater estate, he did some serious alterations to the chassis so that it takes Ford Sierra running gear,
replaced the bonnet with a mark1 Escort rally front and its going to have a flare side pick up rear.
Its still work in progress but coming along very well.

looks like a great project!

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

MMM!! Happy days!!!!!!!!
Like Donut these old escorts remind me of being 18/19 again.
I had a Mk1 1300xl followed by a midget,a couple of MGB's and a gorgeous silver 2.3 firenza sport that I used to chase a few RS2000's and
Berlinettas, and 3 litre capris around the country lanes, foolish days.
Just bought my 18 year old daughter her first car, thank goodness its not a rear wheel drive fast escort/firenza!
In fact I hope shes a damm sight more sensible than I was!
Once I've finished a project why do I start another?

The plan is to use it for towing as well so he has used my old DOHC lump as its got loads of torque, should be a fairly groovy looking thing when its
done.
My mate (Alan) should be registerd here soon so he will no doubt keep you all posted on progress.
