New tintop
I'm thinking of getting a 205 GTi for the missus. I've never had much/owt to do with pugs, but it's what she's after. What
should I look out for when viewing/driving one? Are there any hidden rot areas for example or any things that need replacing regularly?

After my friends experience, check the indicator stalk. There was a defect in some a few years back where they would break up around the base which
took him ages to get resolved.

Collapsed seats bolsters...
Inside bottom corner of both doors...
Depending on 1.6 or 1.9 Anti-roll bar bushes...
Windows - they have a habit of failing/slow motors.
Timing belts replaced...
Fan potentiometer on Dashboard
Apart from that nothing much. Used to be Webmaster/Organiser Peugeot GTI Club back in the 80's.

From what I can remember as a small child, helicopters chase you across the desert a lot - could be an annoying defect after a while!
