Ford Galaxy/ VW Sharran etc fit. I had a T4 transporter and they were fine during the time I had it (about 150k miles).

It's gross weight is 2800Kg, payload is 1000kg. Most times i won't carry anything like the max, as it's really just a mobile toolbox, but it would be nice to have the option. Don't wan't to be worrying that the wheels might fall off if i overload it maybe i'm just being paranoid?

Looking for alloys for mine too! Though getting it resprayed anything except AA yellow is a bigger priority.
My sister has a mk4 GT TDI Golf on the standard 15" rims & they look strong, parts man at the VW van dealer says they fit & it wont be a problem but make sure the tyres are up to spec.
On the other hand a customer at work with a Caravelle on aftermarket alloys has had 2 break!

I dont, could mabye find out in while, his Landrover & trailer are coming in for work shortly.
I'd have changed them by now but he's still running the other 2 on the front! I dont know what he was doing with it either, some people have the capability to break anything!
If we stick to stock VW, Audi,Merc etc I think it will be ok.
