Sending a fax from a PC over the internet?
Evening folks.
I was just wondering if it is possible to send a document (eg word document) to a fax machine over the internet?

Yes..
I use eFax, which is quick although not that cheap

WinFax Pro allows this and is readily available if you know where to look.
I have version 10 which is quite old but very good...

Yes, because you are using a 3rd party to actually do the transmission itself, you are just providing the data electronically.
http://www.tpc.int/ has been around for at least 10 years doing free email2fax and similar services. From memory all it does is add an extra page at
the end with an advert on it.

It's easier with your old 56k fax modem though.

Just faxed my DVLA inspection request using this (no answer on their phone number ) so I'll see if it works
