What a B'*#$@%D!!!!!!
Just took the car to work (nightshift).
Looked around the car when I got there and I found a cut in my tyre tread around the complete circumference of the wheel.
It looks like it has cut about 8mm into the tread.
I think that something must have got jammed btween the tyre and the cycle wing, because there is nothing there now!
Anyone sell goodyear eagle ventura 205/50/15's?
I need one !

I will be able to drive it home in the morning.
Just got to get a new tyre Monday
Just as well this did n't happen on a Motorway!

how deep is the cut? it could be perfectly fine if its only a few mm's tho also depends on how worn the tyre is

It is a brand new tyre, but it looks like it has gone right down to the bottom of the tread.
The fact it is running the complete circumference of the tyre worries me.
I will be going to detling next month and could do without a blowout on the M25!

oh right so you think its gone the whole way into the molding as well, yea thats no longer safe probably since the thread is split into theoretically
