Worth trying -R and +R flavoured discs - some players are a bit finnicky

Is it possible to write more info to the DVD or is it finalized? If it's not finalized the computer will be able to play it but a stand-alone unit probably won't....

.... but it's worth trying a few different discs. I've had major difficulties getting DVD players to use Tescos own brand DVDs (either R+ or R-)....

The +R -R issue is a valid point. Your lite-on should be able to read both if it's newer.

It's almost always due to brand. I've made 1,000's of dvd's and cd's (work related) and certain brands are better than others. Has to do with the wavelength of the laser and the color of the substrate and the power of your burner, etc.

Experimentation would be the key.

Are you trying to burn an ISO or have you created the files and are trying to get them on to the DVD?
