Race licence questions
Firstly, I'm all up and ready to book an ARDS test. So what experience have people had with the various schools. Are there any suggestions?
I'm on a bit of a budget so not really interested in multiday type tuition.
Secondly, I'm looking into the possibility of doing a little karting over the coming months. Can you race a kart (non gearbox, short circuit) on
a clubmans/national b licence or will I have to also do an ARKS test. From the bumph with the MSA pack I think it says that you can but it's not
entirely clear

Silverstone used to have a reputation failing too many people, funny that because they then all had to pay for a retest......
Took mine at Mallory Park, they were fair and professional.

I can recommend Mallory - they do their best to help you pass 
Went round in an Focus RS too which was fun

Cheers all. Mallory is looking as my prefered at the moment. Anyone ever done it at Thruxton?
Anyone with any idea about the karting question?

You could run a kart under an ards a few years ago when I looked into it, you can also (or used to be able to) upgrade from an arks license to an ards
with the right no of signatures at a high enough level.

Check out Club100 - they run outdoor arrive and drive race series - no comp license required. Karts are 100cc 2 stroke direct drive and very quick.
Competitors are a friendly bunch and it's pure adrenelin! Cheers, Pewe.

last time i checked club100 they were running detuned/retricted tkm's so they lasted longer between rebuilds 
definately convenient arrive/drive but you don't get your hands dirty which kinda spoils the fun imho

Well, TKM is what I've been looking into running. Have been down to my local circuit this morning for a bit of research and it seems pretty
managable price wise. Any TKM'ers here?

I'm an ex-tkmer, my best mate still runs a couple down at blackbushe along with his gearbox, is this where you went or was it the relocated
forest edge near andover? (David surfaced that place )
