Tin Top, Honda CRV- uneven tyre wear

Colleague of mine has a Honda CRV.

Both of the near-side tyres have worn down to bald on the outer 1" or so.

Any idea what would cause this? If it was tracking out then wouldn't both front tyres be worn?

Thanks,
James

Has it been in a shunt ?

I'd take it for a 4-wheel allignment and see what they say...

Slid into curb sideways? As Fista says, stick it on the jig.

Is it the new 2007 CRV?

I've got one and straight from the dealers it pulle horrendously to the left. This appears to be a bit of a problem for the new CRV as a friend who works for a leasing company has exactly the same problem with two of his clients cars.

In each case, Honda have said that we must have hit something/drove up a kerb - my local dealer can't align it and has told me to go to National Tyres.

No, it's the older type. 3/4 years old IIRC.

His wife certainly hasn't admitted to him that it's been in a shunt!

But they didn't have it from new.

Maybe he's just very enthusiastic on roundabouts! I always wear the left front on my tintop significantly quicker than the other tyres for that reason
