XD Card issues

I bought a fugi film 256mb XD Card off ebay for 8 quid posted - great!

Seller said it was as good as new, still with orginal packaging although opened.

He said he is selling as he bought the wrong type of card.

When putting it in my olympus camera it wont work. I have used another fuji one in my camer abefore without issues.
I have read on the net that if i was to put my card in a fuji camera and format it then it should be ok.

So does anyone have a fuji camera that will take an XD card? If so can i post you my card and you format and try taking pictures on it then re format it and send it back in a pre paid envelope i send to you?

Thanks

Format the card.

Many cameras reject card not formated by that brand of camera.

Whilst in Cyprus last week, I took my Olympus camera to get a new XD card. The guy in the shop tried three brand new cards (1 and 2GB) but none of them would work. Two of the cards brought up a "Card Error" and the other a "Format Card". The guy tried several things but the cards would not format. He even tried using his all singing dancing photo machine to wipe/reformat the cards and then putting them back in my camera. All to no avail.
He eventually contacted the Olympus dealer on the island (my guy was a Kodak man!) and he was told that my 5mp Camera wouldn't use large XD cards. He had a 128 so he tried that and it worked fine.

My wife bought our daughter an Olympus from Jessops. They supplied a Fuji card and all has been well. My understanding is that the Olympus card will support panorama pics and the Fuji doesn't.

Have you got a pc card reader?? If so format it in your pc then try again. I think you can do it with your camera plugged into a pc using that as the reader.

Someone told me that its the card speeds that are the prob or something,
