Car boot sales
Bought a brand spanking new, still in plastic wrapper and box, torque wrench at car boot sale today. It is a cheapie one that I won't mind
braying with "the tool" but I still feel a touch bad for ripping this woman off.
Went something like this.....
Me: How much is this love? (holding torque wrench aloft)
Woman: What is it?
Me: Erm, it's kind of like a big spanner
Woman: Oh right, erm call it £1
Me: Go on then, I'll have it (ha ha ha)
I also p155ed myself laughing at some bloke asking if a window grill would fit his window, to which the seller responded "how the bloody hell
would I know, I've never seen your window".

if it was still in its wrapper, never used, chances are it was worth nothing to them anyway.
tools at car boot sales always sell for silly cheap money.....like record vices. people think they're old so they're crap, but
they're a damn sight better quality than anything you can buy now.

Yeah, we picked up a 6inch record for £15.
- Took two of use carry it to the closest we could get the car, but ir was mint condtion, few minor scratches but now damage to the
jaws/slides/anvil/decals and thinly greased all over.
Just looked now, tooled-up have it for nearly £700. http://www.tooled-up.com/Product.asp?PID=8107

I'm on freecycle here too.
I've picked up a Denon hi fi tuner and a Stainless steel cooker hob off it.
Got rid of plenty as well, which is just as good to be fair.

I bought a £100 shed years ago and got that vice free with it fastened to the bench. The shed went but I still have the bench and vice.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
