Online shopping moan

Just getting a little fed up buying on-line what a carry on, maybe those on here who run an online shop might take note.

Here I am sitting at work, she's out prick about so tends to miss the posty or any couriers. Can't get things delivered to work due to mail always being sent to the other office building and no one taking it over for days.

So why the moan? well it seems I can't get the smallest cheapest item delivered through that big slot in my door with out having to sign for it i.e. I goes straight back to the depot and I have to trail across the city to pick it up

Ordered a £8 motor speed controller an inch long, could they just post that through the door nooooooo.... must have cost more in petrol to get the damn thing!

Then yesterday another note greets me, now I'm really pi$$ed off as I knew what that was, a micro SD card about 1cm square!!!!!!! FFS when I go to collect it again on the other side of the city, its in a box a 200 times bigger than the tiny card but it still would quite happily fit through my letter box

This is getting NUTS!

It's probably because too many people have lied and said that they've not received something - the suppliers now want proof of delivery.

Can't you get it delivered to work? Or is that not allowed or too dodgy?

Tried it, total disaster, put in a huge pile of mail and forgot about

Could you make friends with some sad old neighbour who never goes out? You could get stuff sent there. The downside is that you'd have to talk to the miserable old get.......

I'd 2nd that getting stuff delivered to work doesn't always prevent it going missing.

Apparantly 5kg of Kind Edward potatoes I ordered(!) have definately been delivered to my workplace (they showed me the signature from the courier!!) but I've been searching for two weeks and we haven't found them yet!!! At some point a cupboard is going to burst open and hundreds of rampant potatoes shoots are going to come flying out!!!

I dont mind so much if they use royal mail....the post office is relativley local....But one company insists on using initial shi11y link....

They just drop the card and run even if you are at home....

Their depot is 60 miles away

This is the answer. You might even find they're not miserable old gets. Our whole street looks after each other, intercepting delivery drivers before they drive off etc.
