Powerturn buggies - sweeeeeeet

I have been away on a team building weekend with my new job. One of the activities were powerturn buggies.

They are a a buggy with no steering - the front wheels are like trolly wheels, the rear wheels are driven, one wheel with each of the two engines, you steer by braking/accelerating with two levers you hold.

They are SUCH GOOD FUN!

We had a hoot hooning round a flat field, doing a slalom course and a few wheelies too!!

Heres a link:

I think I might have a go at building on after I finish the kit car/bikes/trike I have on the go at the mo.

Sorry for any speeling mistakes, I'm still a little drunk!

Is it my eyes or does it end up with severe toe-in towards the end of the video?

The front wheels are like supermarket trolley wheels, they are there to keep the front off the ground. It's just a skid steer like fiddle brakes on a trials car.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Great aint they!

I'm not sure about engines, these had two honda kart engines in, didn't see the power rating, but I think anything stupidly powerful would have them on the back wheels too much - maybe a touch more power so you could pull power wheelies without having to stop, but not loads more I don;t think.
