Welder on Ebay?

TBH Ray, it'll probably be OK, but eventually it'll need consumables such as liners, swan necks etc. so personally I'd go for a
Clarke (in fact I have), consumables are freely available.
Have you had a look at the forum at www.mig-welding.co.uk ?
If you message the user "weldequip" he'll see you right for a decent price

I have to agree..
Go for a Clarke, same sort of price,
and you WILL need spares.

I've not used that welder specifically, but have had dealings with the company before (Chinese) and they are one of the better brands to come
out of China

The gun and cable look exactly like the SIP and Clarke ones, they all take the same liners, teflon or steel and parts are interchangeable. Buy it on
your credit card and you'll be covered and his address is in the listing anyway.

what are you welding? the minimum current of 60 amps is a bit high for thin sheet metal such as car body work should be fine for box section though

A lot of the time tools are made by one manafacturer but re-badged for different vendors. You may well find this welder is sold for more money with
different stickers on it!!
e.g. I got my "hobby craft" compressor and its exactly the same as a Wolf one but 30% cheaper.. Even the accessories are the same LOL!!!
They've just stuck a different sticker on it....

I thought it was worth a punt at 73 quid.
I bought a Plasma cutter from that supplier on Easter sunday night, even allowing for the bank holiday backlog it arrived the following monday, i.e. 8

I would also agree with the comments that they're all made in the same chinese factory's with different badges theory, chances are the
torches will be the same as Clarke/Sealey/SIP.
