Anyone got a trailer/van in Beds area (or another idea?)
Helloooo
Me and my partner have potentially acquired a nice second hand sofa for our soon-to-be home. Anyone got a genius idea to move it 30 miles from
Dunstable to Bedford?
Obviously if anyone here has a van/trailer and fancies some beer money, that'd be super-duper-super. What other options are there?
Any idea what a 'proper' moving things company would want for a short trip like that? Can man-with-vans be hired reasonably for such a
short job or do they come by the day? Obviously i could hire a van but that's not as locost as i'm hoping for. Finally - has anyone
strapped a sofa to a car roof before? I reckon it could be done...
Cheers for any advice...

On the roof is the locost way. I've done it with roofing sheets, just remember that your roof could get scratched or dented though. I spread a
blanket on and make sure it is secure you would'nt want it to fall off

Ive strapped a 3 seat sofa on the roof before for a short journey.Im sure that if you wraped it in a sheet then used decent straps it would be ok but
you may get some funny looks.

Make sure its properly secured as you risk getting points if you get stopped by the police and they decide it isn't.
