Does a 78 car...
...need a rear fog light?
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

it may not need one but I'd rather have it, for all the wiring it takes to help stop some idiot running into the back of you
better not be that mg cos I'm wantin that

Well you'l want it when iv finshed with it
Im also designing a centre consol to house a new radio 'cos the ones on ebay are too expecive
I wont be driving it in fog, just wanted to know if it needs one for MOT
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

ah sorry I forgot you had one, oh yeah it what that thing with the huge engine, no I actually meant the midget for sale, its a 78 too.
Won't be driving it in the fog....hmm ain't that a bit like 'no I'll never drive in the rain...'

I will only be using it to get to college which is down the A27 so any fog would have burnt off. Il probably fit one anyway but a bit short of money

If you want it I have a spare fog lamp from the falcon, probably got a switch too. Just send me a couple of coins to cover the postage and I'll
send it down.

my 79 mk1 fiesta never had one untill I fitted one (the mk2 one fitted)
but I was using it every day on the Edinburgh bypass where fog can be an issue
thinking about it I actually miss that car (even if it was gold), I just heard that it was just take off the road at the beginning of the year for
restoration.....

quite right, in my experience the fog has nearly always burnt off by first thing in the afternoon!

Doesn't have to have one but if one is fitted it must work.

No. They're not required on a car of any age. If you have them they don't have to work but if they do they either have to not work in
forward gears or have a warning light if on a manual switch.
