Couldn't believe this when dad told me!

The kaiser chiefs offered to play a free gig in a pub in cornwall and were turned down!!

Cant believe that, i went to the recent gig at leeds football ground which was just awesome, would love to see them in a small venue.

When my dad told me this last night both mine and my wifes mouths just dropped open.

Think about it.

Tell everyone the Kaiser Chiefs are coming arond your house and doing a free gig.

You'd spend till the end of August clearing up the crap & repairing the damage.

I was told that it cost £800,000 to clear up Glastonbury last year.

I used to be apathetic but now I just don't care.

Yeah but its not like there where doing ahuge gig and attracting crowds of people. Tbh i guess it deppends what time it was (one in the morning, who knows) but they are pretty good in the grand scheme of things!

on facvalue it does sound like a fantastic offer and unbelievable opportunity, however there may be more to it. I wonder if the pub has the relevant planning permission to hold live music events and if the council etc may have had some reservations about allowing it. Such an event could easily get out of hand if not handled by someone with relevant expoeriance.

Only way i could see it working is if it was arranged at last minute so as not to flood the area with a huge number of fans. Can you imagine the logistical issues of holding such an event.
