every time i open a window there is an annoying click, how can i get rid of it?

There's always one...

Try this...

Start menu

Control Panel

Sounds (or something like that)

You will end up with a list of 'events' and the associated sounds. Go down the list and find the one relating to opening windows - select 'none' from the list of sounds.

i tried that to get rid of the loud 'da dah' that plays when windows opens, didnt work turning off the menu sounds. bummer....!

The sound you want is called "start navigation", I always turn it off in the process of rebuilding a machine.
