Anyone familar with the book "How to build your own supercar" ?

I believe it's only recently come out, written by the guy who built the car on the front cover called a Marov?? (maybe)
Haven't read it so can't tell you much more than that - I think it was reviewed recently in one of the monthly Kitcar mags.
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator

By coincidence the book has 250 photographs, which by my experience means that you will need another 5750 photographs to be able to finish the car

I am sure the mirov is a one off. A prop from a tv show or sumat. Some guy really liked it and bought it. Although it wasn't really a car when
he got it. Just outer panels if I remember right.
Saw it at one of the shows.

mirov - that is the "supercar" reportedly made in russia.
as ^^^ it was a prop that then was completed into a car. there is a write up abpout it in one of the kit car mags going back a couple of years -
pretty sure I saw it a stoneleigh this year.

OK the book landed on my door mat yesterday and i,ve had a quick fkick through it, the book isnt exactly what you think it is its more of a story of
the rebuild.
In the late 80's two cars were built by a speacialist film prop designer to be used in an advertising campaign for "Nowich Union"
called the Mirov and built in England the cars were from an american kit car called the manta montage which was supossed to resemble bruce mclarens M6
road car. An english company (UVA) unique vehicle and accessory company also made an effort called the M6 GTR .
anyway
One of the cars came up for auction the author of the book purchased it, it turned out to be a body shell on wheels as said earlier.
The books an intersting story and the info is ok regarding the changes to the original fibreglass but there are no chassis plans and nothing for
moulding from scratch.
The car sits on VW hubs with double wishbone front and the VW independant rear with a renault V6 engine, all a bit old hat but as i said its an
interesting read and the guy has turned out a nice car.

If you make it over to stonleleigh next year i will trade you the book for a pint of ale, i am thinking that by next year the price of a pint will
probably be the same price i paid for the book

So it would seem from Bob's review that the title is being very 'economical with the truth'
Still, there is a tradition of that with car books, there was one that reckoned you could build a car for less than £300.
Haynes Kit Car manual is a bit of a rip-off too
