If you really want it, and you can get it for a decent price, then the answer is to win it, then go and collect it. Check it's all there, working properly, then pay cash and take it away.

I know it would be a fair drive, but it might be worth it. Add the cost of the journey to whatever you are prepared to bid, and see if you win it or not.

In theory, yes. Check the small print. It may take some time to get the money back or it might not.

"would paypal or my card company refund me"
If you pay by card (even indirectly ie via Paypal) & goods don't arrive the card company will simply charge it back to Paypal

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

Paypal protection yes - but not so with the credit card which will cover it in full and just leave Paypal to sort it out??
