Anyone got Stirling Engine plans?
I've been fascinated by these things for a while and the recent article in PPC (totally pulled from a Google search!!) got me thinking again.
I made one many years ago that worked using heat from a tealight and a cold tap but it was a bit crap.
Has anyone got some nice plans kicking about?
I've seen the various sites that will sell plans but as I'm a tight-arsed Yorkshireman, I don't like spending money!
Ideally I want an engine that will work on a temperature difference of 10degC, make 10hp and be the size of a small suitcase. Then I'll be
rich!!

random solidworks part files of pieces that are similar to a bohm model stirling i can let you have these, be warned though that i dont actually think
they were ever a complete set, and never assembled either lol!
need a high level of accuracy though! but very interesting what type were u planning on doin?

The one I made many moons ago used two pistons machined from ally with teflon washers screwed to the top of them to make the seal. It was cobbled from
some old drawings my Grandad had. The crank was hewn from two heavy castors. Long before the tinterweb was around!
I'd be thankful for whatever yo can give me. Unless you give me a cold.

There is a group that build model stirling engines and exhibit them at model engineering shows, they have various books and leaflets for sale. Try
this link http://www.stirlingengines.org.uk/ .
They will have a stand at the midland model engineering show which is later this month near leamington spa.
