Sunday's encounter with Major Cockup

Long story cut short. The end.,

ok, maybe not that short.

I have RR diffs in my lwt so the speedo is reading incorrectly. Managed to acquire a RR speedo but this does not have the blue high bean and orange alternator charge lamps so got some LEDs to fit into the face.

The LEDs have 2 part bezels that I measure the hole to be 7 mm becasue I hadn't realised that the bezels are fitted first, then the LED followed by teh clip - the correct size hole should have been 6 mm.

oh well, the clip hold them securely enough but still a bit of a bummer,

didn't think of that...

actually the difference in gearing is about 30 % - not sure that there will be a gear that would do that; if there was, then I guess there would have been no need for Land Rover to fit at least 4 different ratioed speedos. .. will look into it though.
