Lesson Planning help!

I've got a year 10 class (14-ish) to teach who have behavioural problems and short attention spans and I could use some help!!!

Although the subject's computers (ICT), I thought I'd try and get their attention by relating the lesson to things they find more interesting. As pornography is a bit of a no-no in a modern secondary school, I thought I'd try and relate CAD to their appreciation of cars and motorbikes.

To this end, I need CAD chassis/car pics and animations that I can weave into a presentation. Anyone got any links?

I'm trying to show the difference between a paper-based drawing and the flexibility the CAD affords.

Failing that, anyone got any spare riot gear?

Cheers,

Neil.

Anyone who teaches difficult kids deserves respect!

Anyway, you must have a look at Jim McSorley's site:

http://www.mcsorley.net/locost/

You'll see the whole thing there - CAD drawings, animated models, and so on. His plans are generally regarded as the definitive set for building a Locost.

Happy teaching!

David
