I sold an old homemade car transporter trailer on ebay (£300) to a guy registered in germany, he didn't reply to emails but phoned me and told me he was from bosnia and would be flying to the uk in a weeks time, i was very dubious, he turned up on time paid cash from a wad that could have choked a donkey and went. When i checked his feedback he was buying allsorts of stuff, wings, doors, bonnets, gearboxes, non running cars etc. It seems that he loads up the non runner up with the parts, puts it on the trailer and tows it all with something else he's bought off ebay. As they say one mans s**t is a another mans treasure. The guy thats interested in buying off you probally has a genuine good reason for doing so eg. the exchange rate and/or availability in his country. I would be wary of the mugging type thing though, as i know of someone who went to do a deal, had his money taken and got battered, the deal was on the wrong side of the law though (duty free fags) so he got what was comming. I would still advise caution though and remember the golden rules for not getting ripped off, if it sounds too good to be true then it probaly is and there is no such thing as free.

someone mentioned in this post about asking to see id, get a look at his passport of proof of who he is, check it against the details he gave you on the internet, one single difference then walk away. Take a scan or photo of it, pref with his face in the photo. He will understand if he has nothing to hide and is all in the terms of security for yourself. If he disagrees then there is no sale. its not like this guy is the ONLY ONE person who may want to buy your landy, remember there will be others
