Whilst all that exciting stuff was going on Scott, I was up a ladder with a brush and a tin of Sadolin, doing the shutters.
19c and sunny.
Glad no one was injured. Give the loss adjuster some gyp when he comes round.
Bob.

OOhhh I feel for you! I thought we were going to get a beating, the wind was actually bordering on scary this morning, and took a good 3 hours to drop
down to only gusts of scary. We live on the top of a hill and it was hitting the side of the house so hard the whole structure was shuddering visibly
(brick and block house, you could see the vibrations in cups of water on the table). Was fairly convinced I was going to lose the chimney and ancient
attic window which has no latch so kept opening itself despite about 8m of duct tape holding it shut from the inside. The greenhouse lost a pane of
glass despite being in the shadow of the building and the cars in the drive were visibly rocking a few inches. Houses opposite lost a number of ridge
tiles, drainpipes, fences, normal tiles etc. Bins empty everywhere, racing up the road.
Totally nuts. #hurricanehelpmaboab
Get yourself prepped though, looks like tomorrow will be similar - the surface pressure charts show isobars almost as close together again over the
central scotland area.

We flew this morning, lifted pointing west - into 65+knots and turned slightly facing north west, and we flew east facing north west.
Just imagine driving your car, while looking over your right shoulder, and driving it in that direction at 120mph.
But at least my telly still works and Ive got my PC.
Scott get fixed soon !

Be careful it's not Mrs Marcellus Wallace. (You know what happened to Tony 'Rocky-Horror' as a result of the
'foot-massage'

We flew this morning, lifted pointing west - into 65+knots and turned slightly facing north west, and we flew east facing north west.
Was in Kathmandu in '77 and got talking to the pilot of a UN sponsored 'Pilatus Porter' aircraft. He used to fly medical supplies
into small Nepalese airstrips in the Himalays all around Mt. Everest. He reckoned, following an emergency callout, he landed across runway one day due
to a potential 50kt crosswind. The Porter has a stalling speed of around 40 kts.
Touching down 'brakes-on' he left a skidmark (on the runway) of 2 metres. He didn't measure the one in his thunder-bags.
Hardy Fuerer was the guy's name. He'd gone out there on a 6 week detatchment 11 years previously and fell in love with the place.
Browsing Hardy's bookshelf at a drinks party I pulled out a copy of Chris Bonington's 'Everest The Hard Way.' Inside was a
bookmark with a manuscripted message form CB saying thanks for the photo's, and exchanging pleasantries.

Sorry to hear about the grief & hope you get it sorted. I always knew there was a reason why we pay a high price to live South of the Midlands!
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

Hope you weren't sat there when those doors caved in.
I thought you would have polished that tin off by now, while the Mrs was at work. Or the dog would have got 'em.
Night before last was a bit boisterous down here, but didn't realise that a full gale had demolished half the country.
Cheers,
Nev.
