Sorry to hear about this and hope he is not suffering too much. Best wishes to him and my sympathies to his family and hope they stay strong for him.

i think the amount of replies to this thread speak volumes about how people feel about him! seems like he is one of the good guys and am sure if he
reads this thread he will know the whole l/b community are there for him and his family!
should wwe try to arrange some kind of charity event through locostbuilders?

You may be onto something Daniel..
What I would say is this.
Everyone who has a road legal car,get it out today for a blat.
Everyone who hasn't been in their shed for a while, go out today and do something.
I'm sure this would please Ray more than all these frowns.

Well i will be having a little run to Newlands Corner in the morning, Ray liked it there and i will be thinking of him.
I know some other members in our group will be at the Goodwood Breakfast club in the morning with Ray being local he did make the odd trip there.

It's with great sadness that I am posting that Ray passed away last night
I have not yet spoken with Yvonne personally and she has her familly with her
His funeral is on the 19th April at 4:15pm at Chichester crematorium

Please don't shoot me down, but might it be a Nice idea to get a few 7's at the funeral to show some respect and support ?
Obviously with the ok of Rays family.

All of us, especially us WLM-ers will miss Ray immensely.
He was a guy with a heart of gold and an equally wicked sense of humour 
Ray will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

I started to post something the other day having read Robs orig post, but couldn't make it sound right. I'd never met Ray, though as
everyone who has met him and from reading his posts on here, he's always come across as someone you'd want to be a part of your life.
Unfortunately now, I won't be able to say what I wanted to say, but if those that did know him can pass on my condolences to his family and let
them know there is a whole community thinking about them, I'd be most grateful.
Rest in peace Ray.

I am so sorry to hear this, although I never met Ray, I followed his words of wisdom on here closely. My sincerest condolences to his family.
