If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

I vote when calvinx's house in cyprus is finished we should all go there to keep him company in winter
It's dry here at the moment but scattered hail showers (not heavy or for long). But it is cold (1 degree on the wife's Clio gauge). Just
come in from working on the car and time for tea i think.

The street outside here is a sheet of solid ice now. I've just been watching cars sliding across the junction but there's been no bumps
yet. There's usually one or two before the gritter goes out.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Few inches of snow outside, and still falling. The car's staying in the garage until further notice! Snowing all day, and the gritter
lorry's only just gone through the village...

the mildest dusting of snow outside here, in kettering.
Got stuck behind four gritters coming out of their depot about 5pm last night - so they are pretty on the ball around here.

The press/TV/radio make me laugh... snow's so deep that it almost covers the soles of my walking boots, and you'd think Armageddon had
arrived!
The TV showed one car that'd ended up on its roof - totally flat road, slight curve - fairly clear signs that the driver had been 'over
ambitious' with his driving speed! If you're on slippy roads, slow down - it's very hard to turn a car over at 25 - 30mph on a flat
road, without the aid of an embankment!
According to the radio this morning, "there will be heavy snow showers and temperatures as low as -8" - and shortly afterwards they said
that the snow was spreading into the Scottish hills. So, in other words, if you're daft enough to be on a Scottish mountain you might
experience a bit of cold! The temperature was 0 when I left home at 6:30 this morning.
