Chill,

your opinion is as important to you as mine is, but I am only asking for a little respect, you are looking for my history and my opinion, I have none, we all make that, so in 10 yrs when gougle spouts forth a can of worms re this subject you will be famous.

My identity is only hidden so I can shake your hand warmly when I meet you and understand your comments.

Boyd only became successful by leaching the talent from his underlings while keeping them down.

well that about raps up his life then, well ask yourself, would the world have been a better place with him or without him?

well he's not someone I'd be friends with, but I wouldn't say I'm glad he died.

He just died, he did not ask if you thought he was stressed, he was a great inspiration to many builders worldwide, get a grip and make some posts up elsewhere!

I sometimes wonder if people are building cars or posting on a blog forums..........

now this is an odd post. I have watched all the shows and really liked them so much so I was watching them again, like I said a couple of nights ago, it's on discovery. Boyd always was easly stressed out, he was forever yelling at folk, you must know that if you'd watched the show...

I can't believe how clean the place looked or the total lack of safety specs.

I learnt quite a lot watching the program though I really just got jealous of all the fancy tools they have

RIP Boyd

I agree he could be a bit of a tit but he was a legend in his field and I enjoy watching the programmes...The world will be a little greyer without him...

Have to agree with Mr Whippy's comments... I always find their lack of safety equipment amazing! but would love to be let loose in that workshop...

I often tried to watch American Hot Rod, just for the craftsmanship and the finished cars. Hotrods are not my thing but the work was a joy to behold. I never watched a whole episode because I got too annoyed. Boyd may well have been a talented hot rod maker but the programme should be shown in business schools as a definitive example of how not to run a company and how not to manage people.

What will happen to his shop now that he’s gone? If the bald guy takes over, they’re sunk.

Its a real shame to hear that . Watching the show he wasnt the best manager giving me and my dad a few laughs but definetly built some of the nicest hot rods ive ever seen.
