prepay phone cards
Guys,
My best mate lives in OZ and i heard someone say something about cards that you add credit to and you call overses for pence per minute as opposed to
going through your normal service provider.
anyone got any info / experiences and where do i get one!

Phones 4 u sell them as I was looking to get one to text my dad when he was abroad. I guess any phone shop will do them too.

Or pick up a cheap webcam and video call him via MSN Messenger - also free, only disadvantage is there is an element of pre-planning involved. If you
don't fancy the video but you can just use a mic instead (even headphones plugged into mic port will usually work)

As above.... use skype..
You can call a landline in another country for a LOT less than calling from a landline to landline...
Or, if he has skype.... then its frreeeee
