I do hope that the Beeb do a good job covering the F1, but I remember the coverage that they used to do. Although there was no commercial breaks the coverage was often interupted by having to cover the £2.00 stakes at Chepstow or the rain on Court 27 at Wimbleton and sometimes it wasn't even live. ITV did improve coverage, adverts not withstanding, they got into the pits and interviewed the people that prepared the cars and gave a lot of background information. The Beeb owes it's coverage of Moto GP to ITV for giving it the kick up the arse it needed to improve the presentation and see how Motor Sport should be covered. Now roll on Sat afternoon Rally Cross fron Lidden Hill with Murrey comentating.

Eddie Jordan should be ... 'interesting'

He's got that Irish sense of humour - sharp, to the point, and can sound like an insult unless you're paying attention.

(I used to work with a load of people from Northern Ireland - I found out that they can really take the pee out of you - but only if they consider you to be a friend who can take it).

I've just read that article. It says the commentator is going to be Jonathan Legard.

Think I would prefer that bloke off Radio Five, David Croft.

Am I the only person who thinks Eddie Jordan is a jumped up pr*ck?

I am not impressed with the Beeb giving him a role in the coverage!
