Boiler help Panic Over Thanks.
Rightly or wrongly I drained the heating to flush the muck out and put some additive in the system.
Having done this twice and now refilled and bled all the rad's the boiler now keeps shutting down or tripping prematurely due to overheat.
I suspect that I've got an airlock in the main pipes in and out of the boiler (there are only the two) either that or I've got more muck
in and it's stopped the pump?
Is there some way I have to bleed the main pipes?
Or the pump?
The pump is still buzzing but I don't know how to tell if its still pumping?
If I don't get this sorted in the next hour before SWIMBO's back I'm dead

crack a nut on the pump and see if there is water to it. if not = airlock. if you have water then pump is not pumping.

is there a big screw plug in the end of the pump, you can check if its rotating and bleed it from here, turn pump of take plug out, some water will
come out and put a small screw driver in hole and spin rotor, or just turn it on and touch the end with the driver.

Have you googled it?
This morning I set myself the task of fixing a few Radiators in the house that were refusing to get warm and didn't need bleeding. Googled
"DIY plumbing" followed a few sites. Now the house is bloody boiling.

Obviously once the air lock has gone you'll need to bleed the entire circuit again
