Anyone used Western Union...
for money transfer.
Friend wants to send some money abroad but doesn't have credit card or bank account.
Good, bad or otherwise?
Thanks

Ive used it plenty of times. I wouldnt use it to buy goods, but if your funding a known person then there is no problem except expense. what I mean
is that WU are an expensive option to send funds. However its fast and reliable.

Seems to get as much if not more bad press than paypal, don't think it has as many safeguards as paypal - if thats possible.

Is it to his newly found uncle in Nigeria who has recently found that your friend has won 1 million dollars in the Microsoft UK random giveaway?

He used it yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at how easy and quick it was.
Fill in form, hand over cash and fee and his bro had his money in about 3/4 hour!
