Mobile Masts
The pub immediately adjacent to my house has applied for planning permission to erect said telephone mast within a stones throw from my house.
What is the best way to go about objecting to it. Obviously through official channels but how many people do we have to get on board before it gets
rejected.

I think you'll need to be able to demonstrate that the design proposed is out of character with the neighbourhood. It is unlikely to be
successful though as mobile masts are very rarely turned down by planners.

i used to erect masts for t-mobile and most of the ones in towns were objected..
but all apart from one were installed..
you can delay them but very hard to actually stop them.
the one that was stopped was due to us not being able to get onto the site due to "protesters"...
everytime we turned up they were there, and even threatend violence....... (think they were tipped off!!)
it was funny to see them all there calling there solicitors and the local rag on there mobiles....
there arguement was why dont you put it outside the poor peoples houses......

I would object directly to the owner of the Pub itself,if you get a few other concerned local residents, some of these will be no doubt be his
customers, you might be able to put a bit of pressure on him.

its a funny one really, I'm going to go to the council and have a look at exactly what they want to do. If I have read things correctly the
mast would be around 20' from my bedroom window
Its a sports club and my local as well, I will write to the committee in addition to researching further.

Offer to have the mast in your garden for less money... and then move!
We work near one in Liverpool and its alleged the land owner was getting paid nearly £30,000 a year for it!

Contact local NIMBY groups, rotary clubs etc.
Over the last five years they have been trying to errect on down the road from me, I have not seen another application recently, I think they have
given up due to the sustained level of protest.

From the other point of view how do you get them to put one up?! The signal where I live is close to useless & one on top of the hill in the
village where I work would cover the area nicely!
