Vista v eBay

One for the computer experts.

Since we bought our new pc, both that and our laptop run vista.

We have a eBay shop, this now runs much slower, the "home" page that updates sales etc is the slowest (and busiest page in terms of info) so much so it can take up to 15 seconds to respond or the cursor to come back.

Our pages run fine on XP, have tried on other pc's.

I have gone into Internet options and made eBay a trusted site and thats where my pc knowledge ends.

Any ideas ? Tips, things we could try ?

Thanks in anticipation.

Jon - Is this just with IE7 or have you tried other browsers?

Google Chrome
Firefox

would be two good lightweight ones to try?

Jon - Really quite simple, I wouldn't worry. I would recommend you install another browser and try it first.

Firefox can be downloaded from here.

http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-3.0.5&os=win&lang=en-GB

You can then save it to disk, or run it straight away. It'll guide you through each stage.

i've had a strange problem with my laptop in the past that i haven't got to the bottom of.

I've got two machines, both on vista. Laptop and desktop. Laptop will hate google, takes up to a minute to load the front page. desktop is fine.

No idea what hte problem is, can't find it. Occasionally its ok and will be ok for a week.

Absolutely does my head in.

For some reason Firefox does that with Locostbuilders. No idea why. I've reported it to Mozilla but not sure anything will happen....
