steve, thanks for the link, great pics, neil, yep joined haynes forum too, dan... well i thought if i,ve got the wife onboard ( ahem) then when
things start getting expensive i,ll just say " well if you want it to look nice its gonna cost"
tho she does admit it will be cheaper than my last hobby, & safer.. bike racing , as in barry sheene style.

neil thanks for that, nope no turning back now, it WILL be built, not saying how long it,ll take but i,m determined to get it done, i,m building from
scratch, buying steel, cutting it myself & welding the chassis, one day i will be able to say " i built it".
fozzie.. i learnt along time ago to NEVER underestimate a woman, i just let them THINK they are right all the time , works a treat when you want
something.
cheers
andy
ps which of the two colour schemes i mentioned should i go with?

fozzie, just don,t tell my mrs please
yep typical bloke, the "vision" is what will keep me going .
"she,s" even decided the colour of interior, don,t worry i,ll make sure she gets her hands dirty too, told her she,s doing the wire
brushing of donor bits .
again thanks for the warm welcome from you all.

Awww...... of course I wont tell her...
Have a 'search' for the cleaning of caRp from the donor bits.......there's a wealth of tips tried and tested.......
Have fun...and ask away.......nothing is too minor..we have (mostly) all 'been there/done that'..
Just a tip, and feel free to ignore....the cars are small......too many colours can look 'too busy'.......

Thank you kindly
TBH I was thinking more of the interior,as you said that Mrs handyandy was thinking of that too......my 'accent' colour was black on the
exterior (roll cage) of which I flowed into the cockpit..... as said, ^ ^ feel free to ignore...... colour and trim is a personal thing...

i originally had yellow/carbon colour scheme in my mind, as that was the colour of my race bike & i liked it,
but my mrs has got good taste ( well she,s with me so she must have ) so her choice is royal blue outside of car with a little silver detailing
& black interior with royal blue piping( hint of blue) , hopefully it won,t be over the top just subtle & smart, as i,ll be having an areo
screen i may well go for a full roll cage( shiny silver ).
she,s got her own pair of safety goggles at the ready.
cheers

hi again, sorry i didn,t answer a question that dan asked me,
no the iva hasn,t put me off, yes its a pain in jacksie but the way i see it is the goverment ( not getting all political here) gets my money some way
or another so i might as well get some joy out of them getting it, ie having a car at the end of it.
hope that makes sense?
i,m not against the car getting the once over/build quality check, after all its my life ( & others ) that benefits from having a safe car.
cheers
