Sorry but didn't know where to post this one. A little OT but you guys are good at comming up with the answers.
So: Anyone have one of the large whisky bottles they don't want for my daughter to collect he loose change in. (Didn't think she had any
money) Just don't seem to see them in the pubs anymore.

Save pound coins in them.
When full they hold about £3k's worth
When the £1 coins first came out a pub landlord Friend hated them sooooo much he slung them in an empty 1 gal wiskey bottle with the proviso that when
full it would go to charity.
I have never seen a Landlord cry soooooooo much as when he counted them.
Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.

A friend used to get grief from his wife about the amount he was spending at model engineering exhibitions. He started putting £1 coins into a
bottle, and when an exhibition came along he would pour out the 2 or 3 inches of coins into his rucksack and head off to the show. It usually worked
out to £200 - £250!
She still hasn't worked it out yet...

I collect my coins in a 2.5"x2.5" square tube, about 2 foot long, 2 plates welded on each end with a slot in 1 end. Front of it has 8
holes in so you can see how much is in it. Painted it bright red.
You can put money in it, but to get it out, you have to grind or cut the bottom off.
