Modified car insurance
My insurance is due to expire in a few days. What would be the best modified car insurance company to go for?

Id probably say adrian flux but depends on car, your age, location and mods. If your young and there a few minor mods id try elephant as my Leon Cupra
R is with them, im 22 and its about £700 which i think is good.

Careful with Elephant's website there policy's default to 10 months not 12 Months so may not be a cheap as you think
Scot's do it better in Kilts.

Ring A-Plan's Thatcham office. Been best for me with Modified FTO, TVR, Modified Scooby and Kit car for the last few years!

It's for my tin top. A renault clio rsi
It will undergo some slight modifications. I have been looking on reviews for Andrian Flux, ecar, performance direct and the reviews are horrible.
So, i have run out of companies that they could be of help.

As the prince said A-Plan Thatcham have been good for me, to be honest my insurance on modded cars (prior to kit car) was almost exclusively between
them and Flux.
Flux seem to have a habit of being competitive to get your business but then raising the price at renewal time (when you'd expect a decrease due
to an extra years NCB).
A-Plan still insure my daily driver and Flux cover the Fury.

No it's not, you have a 14 day grace period with any insurance policy.
I have no personal experience of Flux, but I have heard many stories of people who've had issues in the event of a claim.

You've got to remember that in the event of a claim its often the underwriter that causes you the issues.
Remember Flux are only a broker.
Myself and a friend have both had issues in the event of a claim with an underwriter called Highway which IIRC both Flux and A-Plan (and countless
other brokers no doubt) use.
TBH you only find out for sure whether they are any good when its too late and you're making a claim.
